Mr M.V. Deshmukh has had an illustrious career as a Fire professional for more than four decades. He is a Gold Medalist of the National Fire Academy and has been awarded Fellow of IFE (UK). He has a passion for continuous learning and education and has acquired Master's Degrees in: Business Administration, in Law and in Information Technology; as well as a Diploma in Industrial Safety.
He retired as Fire Advisor and Director Government Of Maharashtra; managing and strategizing Fire Prevention and Fire Safety. He along with his team was instrumental to drive major reforms in Maharashtra's Fire & Life Safety:
i) Legislative Reforms
ii) Academic Reforms
iii) Capacity Building Programmes
iv) Mass Education & Awareness programmes
In his long career he has handled additional responsibilities viz., H.R., Security and I.T. Departments of M.I.D.C. as also being CFO. M.I.D.C. for more than 15 years. He helped launch ERP in MIDC.
He has been instrumental in driving "Mission -Fire Safe Maharashtra"
